Project CÍBELE | studies on crime prevention and urban victimisation

 

Objectivos: o desenvolvimento de uma abordagem integrada da vitimação de crime; a compreensão da relação existente entre ser-se vítima de um crime e os sentimentos de maior ou menor insegurança; o desenvolvimento de dois estudos: um sobre as representações da comunidade urbana sobre vitimação, percepção de crime e sentimento de segurança/insegurança na área metropolitana de Lisboa; um segundo sobre a prevenção desta vitimação pelas instituições na comunidade, especialmente no que se referia à estruturação de fóruns de prevenção de crime, as estratégias aí utilizadas e os resultados obtidos.

Projecto promovido pela Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Vítima (APAV) e co-financiado pela Comissão Europeia no âmbito do Programa HIPOCRATES - Incentivo de intercâmbio, formação e cooperação na área da prevenção de crime.

 

Objectives: to develop an overall approach on victimization of crime; to understand the existing relation between being a victim of a crime and the feeling of higher or lesser insecurity; the development of two studies: 1. about the representation of the urban community in relation to victimization, perception of crime and the feeling of being safe/unsafe in the Lisbon Metropolitan area. 2. the second one would be about the prevention of the victimization by organizations in the community, especially when it comes to the building forums of crime prevention, the strategies used and the results obtained.
