Project May I Help You? | help tourist victims
Objectivos: aperfeiçoar a informação e apoio prestado a pessoas que sejam vítimas de crime num Estado-Membro que não aquele da sua residência; criação de instrumentos de prevenção face a situações de vitimação; promover troca de conhecimentos e boas práticas no apoio a vítimas turistas; construir uma plataforma de cooperação e conhecimento entre países a nível Europeu.

Projecto promovido pela Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Vítima (APAV) e co-financiado pelo Programa Prevenir e Combater a Criminalidade - Direcção Geral Justiça, Liberdade e Segurança
No âmbito deste Projecto, a APAV publicou o Relatório Final do Projecto e um booklet com “Conselhos para Viajantes”, ambos disponíveis em português, inglês e espanhol. Tanto o Relatório Final como os booklet vêm mitigar os obstáculos que as vítimas turistas encontram na procura de apoio, oferecendo informação relevante sobre os direitos destas vítimas, bem como uma breve explicação sobre os procedimentos criminais em Portugal, Irlanda e Espanha.
Objectives: to improve the information and support given to people who are victims of crime in Member State other than their state of residence; to design prevention tools addressing the situation of the victimisation; to promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices on the support of tourist victims; to mitigate the impact of victimization; to build a platform of cooperation and knowledge between countries at a European level.

Duration of the Project: December 31st, 2008 until December 30th, 2010.
Under this Project, the APAV published the ‘Final Report’ and a booklet, both available in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Both publications highlight the obstacles that tourist victims face in finding support, and provide relevant information concerning the tourist victims’ rights and how to get support in Portugal, Ireland and Spain. These publications also offer a brief explanation of criminal proceedings in these three countries.
