Danea is 21 years old and a Christian. Narean is 36 years old and is a Muslim. Both were born and raised in Syria, a country they left for different reasons.
In Portugal Danea realized her dream of having a higher education while Narean is still trying to publish her book on the lives of women like herself.
The differences and similarities in the trajectories of these two Syrian women are documented here in a video in which they give their testimony about what they left behind and the route they took until arriving in Portugal. Their stories are a portrait of the courage of hundreds of women who, like Danea and Narean, leave their countries and come to Portugal in search of their life projects.
