APAV | Who are we?

The Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV) is a  charity, an institution for the public benefit whose statutory purpose is to promote and contribute to the information, protection and support of victims of all types of criminal offenses.

We are, in short, a non-profit, volunteer organisation that provides individualised, qualified and humanised support to victims of crime, their families and friends through its free and confidential services. These services include: legal support, psychological support, practical support and social support.
